He had been learning how to walk for awhile, but he prefers crawling or prefers to hold on to someone when he walks. But finally on that Wednesday (9 May 2012), he decided to walk on his own. It is a milestone for him.

There is a Chinese believe that the later the children walks, the better life he will get in the future. I’m not so sure if its true but I’m glad to see him grow and progress. As Evan turns 2 later this year, I’m sure he will surprise us even more.

This morning, Ethan and Ezanne were having lunch when Ezanne started to ask Ethan to feed her. Then, she wanted to feed Ethan too and the next thing we see were both of them feeding each other. Its a beautiful sight and I hope that such actions will bond them closer together.

While we were waiting for Wonder Full performance to begin, I decided to take a picture of mummy and the children. Just look at the smiles on their face and you know how happy they are when they are with mummy.

While there are many activities out there that we can organize, its not easy organizing one that suits everyone.

While the search continues, I’m glad that I found one, the HDB Heartland Project. This project is about collecting recyclable materials from the residents, beautify them by spray painting and eventually, it will be transformed into a sculpture. Sounds impossible, but its actually quite possible and I’m looking forward to the unveiling of the sculpture. It was heartening to see people coming to contribute the items and stay on to do the spray painting. I hope that when they see the sculpture, this will be something that they can be proud of.

It was our first visit to the Art Science Museum and our very first exhibition that we visited was Titanic – The Artifact Exhibition. It was an exhibition that wifey looked forward to very much and it was the first time that Ethan and Ezanne stepped into a museum. As it was the 2nd last day of the exhibition, there were long queues when we were queuing to purchase tickets and were told that we will need to wait approximately 2 hours before we can view the exhibits.

Photography was not allowed in the gallery so I don’t think I will post anything here about the artifacts. It was a very structured exhibition as were brought to the different parts of the ship. From the construction to the different classes of cabin and the restaurants, everything that we see were unbelievable. Ethan was amazed with the things that they could find and he was full of questions.

There was a section of the exhibition that document how the ship hit onto the ice berg and there was a big piece of ice for visitors to feel how cold it was. Ethan tried and said, “Its simply too cold.”

At the end of the exhibition, wifey enjoyed it, Ethan somehow understood what the exhibition was and Ezanne should have a good experience. I hope to bring them to visit the museum again soon.

This is the 6th year that I’m managing Punggol.org and over the past 6 years, Punggol.org Forum has grown to become one of the most talk about township forum in Singapore. Thanks to the forum, I’ve done quite a number of interviews and met many people who in one way or another wants to contribute to the community.

However, somehow, I’ve become so busy that I didn’t pay much attention to it but the forum itself was self sustaining and people were discussing and sharing thoughts of their new home and neighbourhood. With the competition from social media sites like Facebook, people are beginning to group themselves in Facebook Group and somehow, as these groups becomes private, the sharing of information becomes more exclusive.

Recently, I managed to find some time to clean up the forum and I came across a number of interesting posts. Interesting information that residents shared and interesting social projects that we can probably help people to bring forward and impace the community. I hope one day, Punggol.org Forum will become such a platform where the people of Punggol comes together to share ideas and put these ideas into action and I’ll be more than willing to help them in any way that I can to turn these ideas into reality.

Punggol.org Forum turns 6 this year and I hope there be many more good years to come.

Some of my favourite tracks are Northern Star, Never Be The Same Again, I Turn To You, First Day of My Life, Weak and the list go on and on.

She was the first Spice Girl whom I’ve met in Singapore and in my younger days, you will imagine how excited I was when I saw her, talked to her and got her autograph (well, those were the days). These days, due to the various commitments that I’ve had, I’m not following her updates as closely as I used to be, but I will make sure that I continue to read her updates periodically.

Well, I just hope that she will be returning to Singapore soon for a concert. In the meantime, if you are not very familiar with her music, here is a compilation of her singles so far.

I created my Instagram account on 10 December 2010 and then, only iPhone users were able to download and use the app. The things I like about Instagram is the caption of the picture, which enables me to tell a super short story of my picture and the different filters that has been developed to cater to the various effects of the pictures.

I’ve always enjoyed the photos posted by other fellow Instagram users but there was a point of time when Instagram seems alittle stagnant. Well one day, Instagram made itself available to Android users and that was the time when I see an explosion of followers for my account as I see many friends using Instagram and an explosion on the number of pictures posted, I see life on Instagram once again. These days, you will see that most of the pictures posted in this blog are in fact pictures from my Instagram account.

If you have an Instagram account, remember to add me. My username is patrickpang.

A few weeks ago, I attended the closing ceremony of PA Passion Arts event in Punggol called PopArtilicious. The event was about bring Arts closer to the heartlands for more heartlanders to experience arts and lifestyle events. There was a 7 hours marathon and a record breaking attempt for having the most number of people doing the mambo dance. The mambo dance was definitely one of the highlights of the night and I enjoyed myself very much.

As Punggol is still developing, there are many opportunities for events to be planned and carried out in a non-conventional way. For PopArtilicious, other than the fireworks by the waterway, one of favourite item was the visual display on a HDB block which was still vacant (the HDB block was near completion). I’m not sure if we will ever see such stuff when Punggol is fully develops but I do hope to see more innovative events in Punggol in the future.

I was lying on bed for almost a week and I’ve never been so sick before. I was so sick that each time when I’m sleeping, I’m sort of hallucinating, believing that I’m somewhere in the universe. Probably its the effect of the medication.

One of it was when I thought I was a conference venue and directing thousands of people who are attending the conference and each time, whenever someone called me (I mean my mom or wifey), I will think that its the working crew who are calling me for stuff. Then the next time, I thought that I’ve closed a sponsorship deal via Twitter, it was as real as it gets. Sadly, when I woke up and check my phone, there was no such tweet. The third experience was alittle out of the world. I actually dreamt that I was at a wonderland with my family members and we ended with a show (in a National Day Rally setting). The scariest part was my late grandfather, grandmother, grand aunt and one of their friends whom I think have also pass away. In the dream, my dad was so excited to take a picture with them, but yet, no matter how many times I press on my camera, the picture was never taken. In the midst of it, my grandmother told us that she is currently staying with my grandfather at Choa Chu Kang, well, which is kind of true since she is buried at Choa Chu Kang.

This has probably been the worst week of my life and I’m glad that its going to be over soon, although my throat is still burning with an unknown number of ulcers. I’ll be heading back to work tomorrow and I hope I will be able to get back to normalcy soon.
