They love each other very much. They will play with each other and help each other along the way. Probably this is how children behave, afterall, we’ve been through this stage of our life and experience it before.
This morning, Ethan and Ezanne were having lunch when Ezanne started to ask Ethan to feed her. Then, she wanted to feed Ethan too and the next thing we see were both of them feeding each other. Its a beautiful sight and I hope that such actions will bond them closer together.
While daddy is busy with so many other stuff, mummy is the one who will always be around with the children. She will bring them to school and teaches them when returns from work and put them to sleep. You will always see pictures of the family or just daddy and the children but rarely see pictures of mummy with the children (except family photo shoot).
While we were waiting for Wonder Full performance to begin, I decided to take a picture of mummy and the children. Just look at the smiles on their face and you know how happy they are when they are with mummy.
It was our first visit to the Art Science Museum and our very first exhibition that we visited was Titanic – The Artifact Exhibition. It was an exhibition that wifey looked forward to very much and it was the first time that Ethan and Ezanne stepped into a museum. As it was the 2nd last day of the exhibition, there were long queues when we were queuing to purchase tickets and were told that we will need to wait approximately 2 hours before we can view the exhibits.
Photography was not allowed in the gallery so I don’t think I will post anything here about the artifacts. It was a very structured exhibition as were brought to the different parts of the ship. From the construction to the different classes of cabin and the restaurants, everything that we see were unbelievable. Ethan was amazed with the things that they could find and he was full of questions.
There was a section of the exhibition that document how the ship hit onto the ice berg and there was a big piece of ice for visitors to feel how cold it was. Ethan tried and said, “Its simply too cold.”
At the end of the exhibition, wifey enjoyed it, Ethan somehow understood what the exhibition was and Ezanne should have a good experience. I hope to bring them to visit the museum again soon.
Its a Saturday and finally its like a day off for me to spend quality time with my family, especially my 3 angels. On a weekday, I either see them early in the morning or late at night (just before they go to sleep) or sometime, I don’t even get to say Good Night to them. A day like today is therefore very important for me to catch up with them. As far as possible, I will try to send Ethan to school and fetch him back, talk to Ezanne and play with Evan.
We had a simple dinner tonight and brought them for a couple of kiddy rides. As I look at their latest group picture, I can’t believe that they have all grown up. Ethan is turning 6 this year, Ezanne is 3 and we no longer carry Evan in our arms, he is 16 months old. Time is zooming past us in lightning speed and its up to us to decide how we want our children’s childhood to be.
Chinese New Year is over but its definitely not over yet for the children. They miss the drums and the lion dance and decided that they should probably form their own troupe. One drummer, one “lion” and one background vocal. How did it turn out? Watch the video to find out.
Ethan, Ezanne and Evan have grown up. Ethan is 6 this year, Ezanne is 3 while Evan will turn 2. Since we decided to stop at 3, it marks the time when we start giving away some of the used clothes and throwing away stuff which can’t be used by anyone else anymore.
We started giving away some of the baby clothes and the next to go was the baby pram which we have used for 6 years by our 3 children. Interestingly, did you know that we got this pram for Ethan when mummy was about 5 months pregnant at Suntec City. Then, as a first time parent, we just wanted to prepare ourselves as early as possible and so we bought it and brought it back home quickly, eagerly anticipating for the birth of Ethan and eagerly waiting to put him into the pram.
This pram has served us well and started to malfunction. The children have grown up and they just can’t fit into the pram anymore. So its time to say Goodbye to the Pram.
As a parent, we will want to spend as much time we our children, especially on their special day. I remembered that I did not take any leave to accompany Ezanne last year, can’t remember if I did the year before but this year, I made it a point that I have to do it.
It was the first time she celebrated her birthday in school with her friends. Unfortunately, Ethan was feeling unwell that day and was unable to celebrate with her. Nevertheless, she had a good time in school and she like it very much because all the attention was on her.
After school, we brought Evan and her to Explorer Kids for an afternoon of workout. It was a weekday and there was just us when we arrived. Ezanne was not quite confident initially with the obstacles, but slowly and gradually, she built up her confidence and after 2 hours, she decided that she wants to continue playing and refuses to return home.
Ezanne is growing up and I’m glad to see her building her confidence. She is still as cool as ever and now I’ve got a new name for her, Ice Princess.
It was a bright and sunny day and it was another great day for outdoor activity. I brought Ethan and Ezanne to Punggol for a Kite Day event and it was an opportunity for them to fly kites again. After the first kite flying outing, both of them were actually looking forward to the next one.
This time, Ezanne brought along a frisbee which was really enthusiastic to play with. It was probably playing the wrong thing at the wrong time, but since the field was big enough, we thought we will just play it.
It was not a windy day. The wind come and go and it was really hot, probably not the best day to fly kites. Yet the children enjoyed themselves so much that they did not complain they were tired at all and wanted to stay on. It was definitely another good chance for us to bond with the children and I hope to have more outings with the children.
Its easier to get Ethan and Ezanne on the weighing machine because they are older and will get quite excited standing on it. As for Evan, its usually quite challenging. This morning, I decided to give it a try and ask Ethan, Ezanne and Evan to stand on the weighing machine, one by one, to take their weight. We took and the result is out. As of 12 February 2012, Ethan is 19kg, Ezanne is 11kg and Evan is 9kg.
Ezanne eat alot, but she seldom puts on weight. In fact, she eats more than Ethan but somehow, probably she’s got mummy’s gene, she is also petite. Technically, Evan is 22 months younger than Ezanne but he is just 2kg lighter than her. Anyway, weight isn’t really that important. What is most important is they will grow up healthy and happy.
Ezanne celebrated her 3rd birthday yesterday evening. Although it was a day she was looking forward to, but it was a day which she couldn’t enjoy herself much because she was having a fever. Throughout the night, she was moody and was spending most time with mummy.
This year’s celebration, we had our cousins and niece who were back from Australia to celebrate with us and this occasion itself was a good time for us to catch up.
While Ezanne’s birthday celebration with our relatives are over, we will now be preparing for her birthday celebrations with her friends at school on her 15 February. Its her first time celebrating with her friends and she told me that she wants her friends to sing “Happy Birthday” song for her.
