We got a book and started reading together. It has been some time since I last read with Ethan and then, he did not know much words, which means he practically can’t read the book by himself. This time, its different. He knows most of the words, once in awhile, I will still help in alittle and he will ask me questions too. For example, he asked me what’s the meaning of courage and survive. I was thinking hard how to explain to him, but I’m glad he is asking.
Over the years, I’ve learnt that probably I should use the soft approach which means I should give him some space to think and not force him to give me an answer. This time, its definitely helping with this approach and I do hope that whenever I can, I will want to squeeze some time with him and read with him.
