I always thought that Kallang Theatre had closed for good and probably we will not have a chance to visit again. Surprisingly, Sesame Street had their performance there and I’m glad to be able to share with Ethan some of the memories of the area. While we were walking from Kallang Leisure Park to Kallang Theatre, I shared with him that where Stadium MRT Station currently is right now used to be a 4 lane road. Anyway back to Sesame Street.
Last year, we watched Sesame Street at Singapore Indoor Stadium and this year, the organizer chose to go for a more intimate setting, which I personally thought was good but could be better. I was expecting some form of interaction between the characters and the children, but probably due to the storyline there isn’t any. But at least Ethan and Ezanne got to see their favourite Sesame Street characters such as Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster and Elmo.
This year, Ethan and Ezanne was joined by cousin Shernice and Shernice’s cousin, Tristan. I observed too that Ethan and Ezanne were alittle more engaged this time round. Towards the end of the show, Ethan and Ezanne got off their seats and were dancing to the songs. Ethan and Ezanne really enjoyed themselves and I’m happy that they did.
