This is the 3rd year that WWF Singapore is organizing Earth Hour in Singapore but it seems to me that its the first time that Earth Hour becomes a large scale event in Singapore. I thought this is such a meaningful event that I brought Ethan and Ezanne to the Promontory @ Marina Bay to witness the lights off. However, both wifey and me thought that this event can be done better.
1. The surrounding buildings should not off their lights first. They could do a coordinated lights off, though challenging but I thought to get that effect, it will be good.
2. The night walk route should pass by buildings that has lights switched off. I remembered part of the road covered the Double Helix Bridge, sadly, URA did not off the lights on the bridge facade.
3. Find a landmark to mark this event. While the location at the Promontory can accommodate more people, but with no exact landmark to look towards to, it seems to be a little meaningless.
Anyway, I managed to capture picture of the skyline before and after 8.30pm (Earth Hour).

Yes I agree with you, it is not just at marina bay. Iwas looking around my neighbourhood with just torchlights but most of my neighbours didn’t participate as well.
