A different experience around Hong Kong

This is my 3rd visit to Hong Kong and its a different experience each time, but this time, its really special. 1st, I’m not traveling by Cathay Pacific but our national airlines, Singapore Airlines A380. It was the first time that I’m sitting at the upper deck.

For the first time, we traveled by the Airport Express, a train service that brings us from HKIA to our hotel at Hong Kong Island itself. A 2 way ticket costs HKD$180. The only complaint I have is the opening at the fare gates, they are simply too small and not suitable for us when we have our luggage. Climbing up the stairs to exit the station reminds me of the days when I was in Sydney, carrying the luggages to my cousin’s apartment.

What’s so special about this train is it actually has a board that shows you the distance between each station and how far the train has traveled. Apparently, there will be light bulb light up as it proceeds nearer to the destination.

I think this will be my mode of transport for my future visits. So what interesting stuff I’ve discovered so far? Stay tuned to my upcoming posts.

Which train station you alight? From my memory, i think HK train station stairs are steeper and longer.
