Evan turns 1, 1 month I mean and what better way to mark this special day by inviting relatives and friends to celebrate with us. Together with Evan’s grandparents, we setup the room, put up the banners, blow the balloons and arranged the tables and chairs. Ethan kept asking what’s the occasion, we told him that its Evan’s 1st month and he asked, “His birthday?” I guess, that’s children.
We chose Mum’s Kitchen as our caterer for the event and selected their baby full month package which includes the traditional red eggs, ang ku kuehs and glutinous rice. This celebration marks a few first, the 1st time we had the eggs, ang ku kuehs and glutinous rice included as part of the catering and the 1st time we had the celebration in the day.
I’m pretty satisfied with the food, though I didn’t really try them all, but I’ve got quite a number of positive reviews. According to my guests, their noodles, cream puffs and curry vegetables were quite good. I tried the glutinous rice myself and it was great, chewy and not sticky.
While I brought my camera along with me, the sad thing was when the guests first started to arrive, I simply forgotten about taking the pictures of them, so ended up, you just see the pictures of the food.
Anyway, both wifey and I will like to thank everyone who attended and thanks for the ang baos and gifts. We enjoyed ourselves and we hope our guests (which is you) enjoyed too!
