Take 5 is a subsidiary of Old Chang Kee, a popular curry puff chain. If you have not try it before, then you might want to give it a try. They don’t just sell curry puff but other food like noodles, rice and bread. Its a good try by Old Chang Kee, after all, at they expanded one of their outlet, located at Novena Square.
They implemented new concepts such as fast food like counters and queues and electronic queue system. I tried their chicken ham noodle. It was quite well presented, 1 piece of chicken ham, with an egg and chicken floss on it.
However, taste wise, I thought it was alittle disappointing. There was very little noodle, which I think are instant noodle and the soup was alittle bland. The price of this bowl of noodle is not cheap too. It cost me $5.90 and it didn’t make me really full. With such prices, I thought Old Town might be better.
Well, if you want to find something which is good, you can try their nasi lemak, its still not too bad. They have quite a number of outlets but if you are at Novena, you can visit their outlet at Novena Square, #02 – 33/34/42
