When you attend a wedding dinner, you will expect that its a gathering of friends when you catch up with each other and of course, to celebrate the partnership of the bride and groom as husband and wife. I attended a wedding dinner for one of my friends and SURPRISED, one of my friend, H, actually bought me and S, a slice of cake each to celebrate our birthday.
The 3 of us sang the birthday song, blow the candle and oops, clap our hands. Our other friends on the same table were just looking at us and I was thinking to myself, “This is so not right.” Anyway, I was really touched that after 8 years, my friends still remember my birthday. I love surprises and that was definitely one of the good ones.
Before we left the dinner, we took a group photo with the rest of the people (my other poly friends) who were sitting on the same table.
