I was supposed to attend The Next Big Bang organized by @claudia10, but since I’ve met her yesterday, I thought I should just spend some time with my children since the weather was exceptionally good earlier in the day. So where did we go? ZOO!
Part of the zoo was under construction for the River Safari which will open in 2012. But we still manage to see some of the zoo’s icon like the orang utan which Ethan pronounce as Rambutan. By the way, do be careful if you are walking below the Orangutan as we saw a group of people walking past when the Orangutan was peeing.
The animal show was scripted and it just looks like one of those that we watched at Taronga Zoo in Sydney. By the time it end, it started to rain and we were stuck at the amphitheatre for 30 minutes. After the rain, we move over to watch the elephant show, but due to the weather, they had cancelled the show. Instead, they offered feeding to the elephant for $5. So I wanted Ethan to experience feeding it, but it ended up with Ethan carrying the basket and me feeding the elephants. It was a good experience for me.
While we were walking to Kids World, we came across Ah Meng memorial.
We headed to Kids World next and took the carousel. I’m just not too sure why Ezanne was so fascinated with this board, she insisted taking a picture with it.
The kids enjoyed themselves. Ethan get to see the animals that he wanted to and definitely a great experience for Ezanne. Although I thought that, if not for the rain, it will be much more enjoyable. I hope to bring the children to the zoo again, probably when Evan is about 3 months old.
