Finally, the National Stadium at Kallang will be tear down soon. Cranes are already positioned and hoardings are in the midst of setting up. While we are all excited to see the Sports Hub, I guess many of us like me, will have mixed feelings. This is after all the place where we spent our childhood at. For me, it was a place where I once perform (1993 SEA Games Opening Ceremony), watched quite a number of National Day Parades, attended Sports Meet and Youth Festival.
I brought Ethan and Ezanne to watch Sesame Street LIVE today at Singapore Indoor Stadium and decided to take a photo of National Stadium for remembrance. I’ve posted the picture in Facebook and some of my friends shared their memories of the stadium. So what’s yours?

I performed in the National Day Parade once, probably in 1989. There was the yearly affair to go support my school at the National Schools Track & Field Finals. Plus the many NDPs that I got to be part of when I started working. It spanned almost 20 years of my life.
Is it really going to be taken down? Confirmed? There were so many instances when they said it’s coming down but all are just 狼来了
