The curtain is down…

I know it has been one week since the closing ceremony, but thought its still a moment that I should document it.

I was expecting the closing ceremony to be something like the opening ceremony, if not even better. I feel that it should have been a big bang to close off things, but sadly, I thought, this wasn’t the case. Other than the segment that showed a video montage of the past 12 days of the games, the lightings and fireworks, the overall of the show was pretty much disappointment.

As a Singaporean, I feel it was a touching moment seeing the Singapore flag flying together with the Olympic flag. While the consolation of the entire show was the free bag which consist of a Lyo cap which was pretty nice. It was simply music and dance and more of a party for the volunteers and athletes (personally I thought so) and so as a spectator, I was only watching how they party.

But well, I guess, the volunteers deserve it, but maybe it just happened at the wrong time. Nevertheless, for the entire SYOG, I thought it was a job well done and I’m proud of Singapore.
