National Day might be more than a month away, but we just got a taste of what its going to be like for NDP 2010. The 21 gun salute was located at the War Memorial Park and the effects was just amazing. Its the first time all of us see it at such close distance and I can only say that it blew me away.
The good thing was it isn’t really crowded this time but I suppose its going to be as we get nearer to National Day itself. The next thing was the fly past. The sound was deafening and surprisingly, Ethan was quite scared (when in actual fact that he had been to the air show before). Personally I thought this was much better than the air show and of course, able to see flag flying directly above you, that’s something that no everyone will be able to experience. Ethan was simply amazed with the size of the flag.
Whenever NDP is held at Padang, there will definitely be mobile columns. Ethan managed to get up close and personal with the tanks, though, he was actually quite worried to get close to them. So I got mummy and myself to take a picture with him.
After the 21 gun salute was over, we managed to get up close and personal with the 25 pounder. We were able to get some photo opportunity with it.
Ethan was actually quite scared sitting on the 25 pounder so I got mummy to accompany to take a better shot.
