Great Singapore Submerged

This is the sale season, The Great Singapore Sale, but this June, it seems that it has also become The Great Singapore Submerged, GSS of a different kind. It was just a week ago when Orchard Road practically became Orchard River and I thought, “Wah, so heng, I’m on leave!”

This time round, I was not so lucky. It took me 1hr 30 minutes to reach office and I was caught in a massive traffic jam the moment I left home till I reach office. Along the way, there was large pool of water, or maybe should we call them flooding? The wind was strong and while driving, suddenly, a tree branch dropped and hit my windscreen. Luckily, there isn’t any damage.

Our next episode was I actually couldn’t send wife right to her office door step. Just take a look at the picture below.

I foresee such incidents will be very frequent in the future as the effects of global warming become more and more evident.
