I attended a farewell dinner for a great leader whom I once worked with. Though there were some fees involved, but I thought it was definitely work to be there.
3 years ago, I had my first contact with the leader. He was friendly and approachable. He did not had any airs and was really nice to work with. He was thinking a lot for the welfare of his people and at times, I thought, “Man, he had created so much work for me for the sake of other people.” But each time, when I was alone, I sat down quietly and think, “It feels really good to see everyone with smiles on their face. Morale were high and no complains from the people. The feeling was great!”
8 months ago, I had a chance to had a one to one talk with the leader. He told me a lot. The comfort zone when we didn’t realised that we were in and the chance to challenge ourselves. 1 month after that conversation, I received a phone call and I was given the chance to move on. Today, I will say that I’m really learning a lot. What he have told me, its in my mind.
I’m grateful for the opportunities he had given me. Thank you to the great leader.
