I happened to notice a message posted by Starhub on Friday that there will be a story telling session on Saturday as part of Book Exchange 2010 and there will be a guest appearance by Bob The Builder.
On a Saturday morning, I brought Ethan to NLB, its actually the first time he is there and the first time I actually brought him to a library. We were one of the first 80 families to arrive and managed to get a ticket for a photo opportunity with Bob and collection of a free gift. The event started with a story telling of the stories from Thomas The Train and Bob The Builder. The story teller was engaging but sometimes, I asked myself if Ethan really understand what he was reading. But I ask Ethan after that, he still knows the characters in the story that was read to him, so at least, there is still something that he managed to absorb. Then it was the appearance of Bob The Builder. I’m glad that Ethan was not afraid of Bob and was courageous to take the photo with Bob alone. By the way, after the event, I told Ethan that we will be returning to the library next week as we’ve borrowed a book. And he told me, “So we are coming to see Barney next week?” |
