The gathering @ Marche

It was the gathering that had been postponed for a couple of times, but usually, when I with these group of friends, its always about our home, food and gossip and of course our usual suaning. Meeting them is really relaxing and defintely, you will forget all the worries you have on your mind. I’m talking about J, S, ST, M, Y, R and his wife.

This time round for this gathering, it was just a small group of us but I guess, its really difficult to organize one big one that suits everyone. I need to thank J for organizing it, afterall, she is my unofficial secretary. It was also the first time that I see R’s wife.

We had our dinner at Marche, other than the companionship, I would say everything else was lousy. The food standard dropped tremendously and worst still the variety was really limited. I do hope to have our next gathering soon, but it will defintely be after mid-November.

F1 2009, its finally over

Marina Bay Circuit F1 2009 is finally over and I just got to say that it blows me away. Sometimes, its simply unbelievable that Singapore is hosting such an event and you can never believe your eyes that those cars are racing in downtown Singapore. The sound made by the cars were deafening and of course the inconviences it brought to many Singaporeans. Road closures were effected in the Marina Bay are to prepare the roads for the race and on the first day of the closure, I believe everyone were really confused. The traffic jam was really bad.

Sometimes, I just wonder if those people who bought the tickets were interested in the cars or the fringe events. Anyway, I just got to say that it was indeed nice that the Singapore City skyline is seen by millions around the world.

Zee Avi – Bitter Heart

I first heard about Zee Avi from Prime Time Morning on Channel NewsAsia. She is a Malaysian singer who found her fame through a video she uploaded for her friend on Youtube. She just blows me away when she sang LIVE on the show and trust me, she has really strong vocals. Enjoy…

99 more days before 2010…

Time is passing by us in lightning speed. This morning, I heard over the radio that we’ve just got another 99 more days to 2010. Ah, for me, I’m already counting down to my Sydney trip, which is about 80 days away.

With such busy schedules this year, I just hope that at the end of everything, I can just turn back, look at it and know that I’ve done what I’m supposed to do and have a sense of satisfaction for completing these projects.

Talking about my Sydney trip, I’ve yet to collect the passport for Ethan and has no freaking idea what’s the itineary like, but I guess, I’ll just leave it to my wife to plan everything.

Poly gathering

Imagine a gathering was that was organized via Facebook? Sounds impossible? But it actually happened and I was pretty amazed by it. There was a day when I was chatting with one of my polymates, J, and we started talking about how long we didn’t meet up and decided that we should just do a mini gathering in the following week since she will be in town.

A message was then sent out via Facebook to about 5 of my ex-classmates, then it became a class gathering of about 10 of us. The meeting venue and time was confirmed via Facebook. I only realised that I did not have any of their numbers (the numbers were gone after I changed my phone) after I arrived and started to think of a way to ask for help. Luckily, I’ve still got H’s number, who turn out to be my saviour.

Its always normal that everyone will be late and whenever I’m with this group of friends, I’ll always be the punctual one. Guess what time dinner started… 1 hour after our official meeting time. It was a great meetup, cause I didn’t know that so many of my classmates were actually working in the same company, but in a different project team. I’ve also found out that some of my friends and myself is sharing my new found interest, photography.

The next national bowler?

Ethan has much interest in playing bowling. He usually will play Wii bowling and recently, he had made a new discovery, a bowling lane at Timezone. In actual fact, for Wii bowling, we are actually playing for him, just that he is holding onto the control and doing the actions.

Yesterday, when I came back from work, he told me that he want to bring me to play a game of bowling with him, but in actual fact, he is the one who wants to play it not me. Anyway, we brought him and he enjoyed himself very much.

You can view more videos of Ethan and Ezanne at our Youtube Channel.

Celebrate Lantern Festival @ Punggol Gardens

Goin back to the early 90s…

This time round, I’ll like to share music from the early 90s. These 2 songs that I’m sharing are by Taiwanese singer, 裘海正. Don’t ask me where she is, cause I wouldn’t know, but apparently, she has not been active in the entertainment scene for quite awhile.

Btw, I’m not as old as you think, I’m still very young.

Happy Birthday to my blog!

Happy Birthday How time flies, I’ve been blogging for the 365 days or 1 year. Happy Birthday to this blog, erm, or should I say Happy Birthday to my blog. I hope everyone enjoyed reading what is written here and of course, continue enjoying it!

Blogging has provided me an avenue of destressing (hope I’ve spelled it correctly) and of course exploring me to new stuff on the internet, like using wordpress, playing around with the themes etc. For now, I’ll just say that I’ll continue to blog for as long as my interest doesn’t fade.
