If he is happy and you know it when he…

Just keep smiling. This morning, I brought Ethan for a morning walk and when we reached the swimming pool, he just refuses to go home. I tried to tell him that I want to go back home to do some stuff, but he just refuses to go and wanted to stay there alittle longer. He then started to play with the water.

Haha, then I seized the opportunity and told him that why not, let’s get back home to change and go for a swim. Very quickly, both of us went back home to change and quickly get back to the swimming pool. It has been some time since Ethan last swam. At the wading pool, I’ve observed that half of his body is actually out of the water when he stands and in fact, he can kneel in the pool and his body is still above water. I tried to teach him some new skills like kicking in the water as well as learning to breathe through the water. For now, he can stay for about 2 seconds in the water, but I think there is a remarkable achievement for him since he was the one who initiated to learn this new skill. In case you are wondering how he initiated, he started by putting his mouth into the water and blow bubbles. Then I asked him if he has the courage to put his head in, and he nodded and said YES!

And after the swim, I can really see that he enjoyed it and is really happy about it…
