Is it wrong to be more than 0.9m at 2 years old?

It’s been an amazing night a Sakura Ang Mo Kio. Everytime, every Punggol.org gathering, I’ll defintely get to see new faces and of course, the usual ones. Let me elaborate our gathering in another posts.

Let’s get straight to the point. While eating, the waiter supervisor came and told me to bring Ethan to the front counter to measure his height. He said if he is more than 0.9m tall, he will have to charge him, otherwise, it will be FOC. So I willingly brought Ethan to measure (I’m interested to find out how tall he is)…

After measurement, he was about 0.93m tall, OH NO, EXCEED BY 0.03M! But the supervisor was kind enough to say that the 0.3m is actually due to the shoe (*how nice*)

But my rationale is, if he wants to charge a 2 year old for buffet, isn’t it unfair? How much can a 2 year old eat?

what kind of policy is that?! the waiters or supervisor should have just ask how old is ur kid politely. it’s actually quite insulting to charge a kid below 5 years old.

ah ming > thanks for pointing out that error. I was too sleepy when making this post.

others > thanks for the comments. yeah, they are too income driven. glad that this time round they actually waive off, but I’m not too sure if other restaurants will do the same thing.

it actually depends mainly on the policy of the organisation. but most of time, they would waive it. yupps. but if it’s those inexperience ones, then i’m not so sure :/

hm …. i have tis problem when my nieces were younger n tat was years back, u’ve got mrt, cinemas, restaurants etc. so s’pore should keep up with time, we’re not in the 70′s . the younger generation tend to be a lot bigger in size

I guess it will be case-by-case basis. I think they mostly targeting for kids above 6 years old. But nowadays kids grow very fast. The same thing also applies for MRT. I think such service providers should start to think about other ways to verify the kids age instead of using heights as a form of measurements.

Hmm… Jogoya japanese buffet charge according to height 1.
Nowadays many restaurent even toy museum oso charge according to height. >,<

But i personally thinks that charge by age is much more accurate. xD
