A day of terror attack and civil unrest

Asia seems to be so messy now. Civil unrest in Bangkok and bomb blast in Mumbai.

In Bangkok, the PAD wants the Prime Minister to step down, but well, an election was held and he was the chosen one, how come they want him to step down? Wierd but well, maybe these people who stood for the rallies were the people who didn’t vote for the government. But crippling the airport is the not the way to do so. Many people are left stranded in the airport and unable to meet up with their loved ones. What about their accomodation needs? Financial Needs? Emotional Needs? Its something the protestors can’t compensate. And the disaster that they’ve caused to the country is enormous. Who would have confidence in the Thai tourism (except 1 person in my office who strongly believes so and insisted on travelling to Bangkok). With the current economic downturn, its defintely not a good move. There is no CNN at my workplace except for CNA, and getting the constant updates and seeing the footages from Bangkok, it really makes me feel so lucky living in Singapore.

Overnight, yet another tradegy happened. Bomb Blast occured in Mumbai. Tourists were held hostage, people were dead. Hmm, why would these terrorists wants to end people’s lives in such misery?? Btw, glad that the Singaporean hostage is finally release and hope that she is coping well with everything.
