Lunch at MOF, My Izakaya

Had lunch with wifey and Kenzo (erm, my other self declared buddy cum “wife”) at MOF. MOF is not Ministry of Finance but Ministry of Food, My Izakaya. We went to the Bugis Junction outlet. Sat down and looking through the menu, Kenzo wanted to order a set lunch set which is around $25. But in my typical style, I quickly noticed that there is a 10% discount for DBS cards, knowing that he has it, I conveniently told him that this meal will be on his treat. He acted fast and downgraded from a $25 set lunch to a $9.90 omellette noodle (if I’m gonna treat him, he will not only get the set lunch, but with many other orders as well). I got ebi udon and wifey got ebi and chicken rice set.

Overall, the ambience was good, service not bad and food wise, wifey and Kenzo said its ok, but for myself, the udon soup was alittle too salty. I wonder if this is the case for most Japanese food. Since wifey was pregnant, we din have a chance to try the ice cream. If you are interested to try out, I’ve included the locations of the 3 outlets.
