Lunch at Marutama Ramen

KJ message me this morning to ask if I was free to go lunch with him @ Central, and so I said why not, since Central is like 5 mins away from office considering I need to get back to office fast for a meeting… He remembered that I said I wanted to get something soupey for lunch yesterday, so he brought me to Marutama Ramen…

Luckily we reach the place early, coz queue quickly built up 10 mins after our arrival. What can I say about the place, it was an authentic Japanese restaurant owned by a Japanese boss… If you are looking for a wide variety of food, I’m afraid they have limited choices only TWO to be exact: Normal Ramen and Spicey Ramen… You can choose to top up your Ramen with any toppings which costs anything from $1 to $6… Btw, each bowl of Ramen costs $12…

Both of us had Spicey Ramen, abit too salty for me, but I love the egg. It comes in the form of lu dan and the egg yolk is fantastic, not harden but sticky liquid kind (it reminds me of the century egg I had in HK)… We also ordered dumplings which cost $5 for 6… Overall damage, $38 for 2…

thanks KJ for the ramen and the insights and stories behind the real Japanese ramen…

Another quiet day in office

It was after F1 yesterday, so most of my colleagues were having a day off… Today its Hari Raya eve, so all my muslim colleagues are already back home by now… so for both days, its a quiet day in office…

btw, i had lunch with my braddie KJ at Ramen Marutama this afternoon, will post the review and pictures tonight.

My heart at Marina Bay

With just a few hours away from another compulsory family function, my heart is currently with my colleagues who are working hard at Marina Bay… Though I went to assist them earlier in the day, but its really a pity that I can’t be there tonight… What’s more, I’m not feeling well and having a fever…

For the compulsory family functions that I’ve attended yesterday and today, its gonna be the worst, they are functions that I will not enjoy and functions that my heart are with my colleagues at Marina Bay…

All the best my colleagues!

F1 Survivor

I managed to catch abit of F1 action on Friday. My feelings, unbelievable that Singapore can actually be hosting F1, unbelievable they actually converted the roads that we’ve been travelling into a circuit…

Something that I find it wierd, people actually pay thousands of dollars to bring sufferings to their ears, and only manage to catch the action of the cars in the blink of their eyes… The race cars are actually smaller than what I thought… My feelings of listening to Vroom Vroom…

Vroom 1 – Shiok
Vroom 2 – I’ve had enough of it
Vroom 3 – PLEASE STOP IT!

And, to catch the race, here’s your F1 survivor kit…
1. Polo T & Jeans
2. Comfortable pair of shoes
3. Ear Plugs (YOU WILL DEFINTELY NEED THIS)
4. Plenty of water (cause the weather is really hot and humid)

and here’s a picture of my saviour…

F1 = Fustrating 1

Well, the hype of hosting the first ever night race is Singapore is getting stronger and stronger, and I can feel it… Here’s how, CNA website has an average of 5 articles related to F1 per day, Yahoo has a race that’s racing on the main page, while driving up ECP, you can see the F1 lightings on and traffic officers on the road…

While I’m relatively looking forward to it, seeing the City skyline on international news channel (I’m rather proud of it), and being the first ever night race, it has brought about much inconvenience to many Singaporeans especially those who are working at the Marina area. My dad called my aunty to ask about her situation… She’s working at Millennia Tower and guess wat? She was stuck in a jam for more than a hour, getting fustrated and alighted at Nicoll Highway and walk all the way to Millennia Tower.

I was at Suntec this afternoon, it was quieter than usual, but not as quiet as what the news has reported. However, we’ve got to plan our route in detail (ie; how to go to Suntec, which carpark entrance to use, how to go back to office)… I guess, everyone just have to bear with it for the next 4 years at least…

Moonlight Resonance (唐心风暴之家好月圆)

This is the latest HK drama that I’m watching now, very shiok and very nice. 米雪 is evil till you feel like slapping her, Linda Chong is still ever pretty (always like the way she speak english, so slang, so good) and 杨怡 cry until the eyes so swollen… Btw, Moonlight Resonance is a sequel to Heart of Greed, though totally different storyline, but the actors and actresses are almost the same.

The show is so popular that it even has a wiki page… Moonlight Resonance Wiki. I’ve watched till Episode 27 and can’t wait to watch the last episode…

221 emails

This is the number of emails I’ve got after being away for a week. Like what some of them put it “its like that one when you go on long leave”… anywayz, its been very tiring, scanning thru and going thru the important emails, though most of them has become outdated! hehe :)

as I am typing now, my eyes is going to close soon and I need to have lotsa of rest cause I will be entertainin some special guests, bringing them around and explaining to them some of the stuff… need to borrow some foundation and masacara (*jus jokin*)…

btw, I’m still trying to find out the meaning of ABC soup, so if you know it, please leave me a comment.

Weekly family dinner…

Its our weekly family dinner with my aunties and cousins at Marine Parade… then I had 1 discovery and 1 question…

DISCOVERY 1
My dearest cousin Michelle, only has a Friendster account. She don’t have a Facebook account and doesn’t know how to setup a blog… Hmm, its really funny to have such a statement comin out of a 25 year old girl, but well, simply no comments…

QUESTION 1
My aunty cooked ABC soup. Anyone know why is the soup that has potatos, carrots and sometime tomato called ABC? what does ABC stands for? If its jus carrot and potatos, isn’t it supposed to be CPS (Carrot Potato Soup)? If you know what ABC stands for, leave a comment k!

btw, I’m so happy, setup the domain thingy for my cousin joann already. Her blog now is now part of the family domain, http://joann.welovepang.com! Horray…

Anxiety and deep thoughts…

Well, its back to work tomorrow. After having a break (actually its study leave)… and its feels kinda wierd cause when I’m back, everyone will most probably be busy with the upcoming F1 but I’m actually not part of it… but anywayz, one of the players for F1 is someone “WHOM I ADORE SO MUCH”, so also a good thing lah otherwise i think I’m gonna die earlier for the constant volcanic eruptions :p… and while typing, I wonder what are the plans for me ahead…

“Family Day” @ Vivo City

 Kenzo and me

It’s “Family Day” @ Vivo City with Kenzo… Well, we had dinner at Sushi Tei, super long queue, but I super relieved and happy, cause finally Kenzo has forgiven me and gang… Like I told Jingyi, Kenzo is worst then her, so difficult to make him forgive, maybe cause he is a “DIVA”?

Anywayz, it comes with a price, the dinner of coz. After dinner, we went to Toys ‘R’ Us to shop for Issac’s birthday present and I ended up buying a $99 Pooh toy for Ethan – its called Roll n Learn Tree… Ethan defintely enjoyed himself cause he took picture with one of his favourite cartoon charcter (OnMas – that’s how Ethan pronounce it now)

Some other pictures taken (more will be posted in the gallery)…
